MaxLife™ Hysteresis Videos on YouTube

One of the problems with some AMOLED backplanes is short-term image sticking. If a user puts an image on the display and leaves it on for a minute or so, then tries to change the image, the original image will be “stuck” for several seconds. This is due to a hysteresis effect in the TFTs (thin-film transistors).

We’ve made some videos of an AMOLED display with MaxLife™ technology, at various temperatures, showing no hysteresis effect.
