At IGNIS, you will be working with a small, informal, and tightly integrated team where collaboration, free-thinking, and teamwork are the key to our success. Depending on the pandemic, this job can be performed remotely, in the office, or a combination of both.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, or the equivalent College Degree/Diploma.
  • 3-5 years of relevant C++ software development experience.

 Responsibilities:

  • Development uses C, C++, C#, JAVA, LUA, and OpenGL.
  • Development is done in Windows and Android, often communicating between the two.
  • Work on Windows application SW for an optical inspection system for mobile displays.
  • Create Android apps to develop and validate new IP and algorithms before hardware engineers integrating them into the android kernel or FPGA code.
  • Work with researchers to convert MATLAB algorithms into efficient C++ and C# code.
  • Develop high-speed image processing that leverages GPUs, OpenGL, and OpenCV.
  • Be responsible for testing and deploying your code at your desk and in the lab on our products.
  • Test and debug software and hardware-related issues in the lab.
  • Keep your eye out for opportunities to improve our products.

Skills to succeed:

  • Experience in C++ and C# development.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and concepts
  • A desire to learn IGNIS technology and look for ways to contribute new ideas and solve problems.

Bonus Points:

  • Strong knowledge of cameras and/or optics.
  • Experience with OpenGL or OpenCV.
  • Experience with MATLAB.
